Kaiama, Kwara State — More than 220 residents of Kaiama Ward 1 received free medical treatment on Saturday as the Dr. Surajudeen Kayode Agoro Medical Outreach reached Kwara North, offering screening and drugs for common ailments.
According to a statement signed by Hon. Dr. Surajudeen Kayode Agoro, the outreach, organized under the banner of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s commitment to grassroots welfare, provided hypertension checkups, malaria and typhoid treatment, diabetes management, ulcer care, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. The medical team was led by Hon. Dr. Surajudeen Kayode Agoro.
Community leaders welcomed the initiative, with the Kaiama Ward 1 chairman, receiving the team warmly. Organizers said the program reflects the Kwara State PDP’s focus on improving health access in rural communities.
Responding, the People’s Democratic Party Chairman in Magaji Ngeri, Prince Aliyu Mohammed Kolawole, commended the Medical Outreach initiative, saying that it is a significant impact on healthcare and social welfare in the community.
In a statement, Kolawole thanked Agoro and his team for organizing the program in support of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki — Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate — and Engr. Bolakale Sulaiman Kawu, Dan-Iya Ngeri.
He said the ward looked forward to future collaborations, describing the initiative as proof of the organizers’ commitment to serving residents.
