The Kwara State Government has commenced a 10-day capacity-building workshop for 1,800 primary school teachers across its sixteen Local Government Areas. The training focuses on digital literacy, classroom innovation, and modern teaching methods.
Held at Queen Elizabeth Secondary School in Ilorin, the programme is organised by KwaraLEARN in partnership with the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB) and the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development.
Commissioner for Education, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, in his opening remarks, urged teachers to remain committed to shaping future generations. He reaffirmed the state’s dedication to transitioning from an analog to a digital education system and equipping teachers with 21st-century skills.
“The training is part of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s broader strategy to transform education and align with global best practices,” Dr. Olohungbebe stated.
Managing Director of KwaraLEARN, Mrs. Laide Abel, congratulated participants and encouraged them to stay engaged throughout the workshop for maximum impact.
