Kano State Sees Major Crackdown on Illicit Drugs as NDLEA Arrests 18 Suspected Dealers

In a significant blow to drug trafficking in Kano State, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested 18 suspected drug dealers and seized various quantities of illicit substances. This major bust was part of a targeted raid aimed at combating drug-related crimes in the state, according to Abubakar Idris-Ahmad, the state NDLEA Commander

“On January 30, the agency dislodged several notorious drug hotspots located in Fagge area, Kwarin Kaya, Kofar Wambai, and Kofar Mata.
“The raid at Kwarin Kaya was particularly intense as some suspects attempted to intimidate the officers from a distance.

“Despite the intimidation, the NDLEA remained resolute in its mission, ensuring the operation proceeded without any incident,” he said.

According to him, the command successfully recovered significant quantities of illicit substances, including cannabis sativa and rubber solution.
