Ilorin, Kwara State – The SWOT Team Organisation For Educational Development has launched the 5th Edition of the Educational Support Scheme Project (ESSP), aiming to provide essential learning materials to over 3,000 pupils and students across Nigeria.
The ESSP is a flagship project designed to support less-privileged students with school materials, including exercise books, school bags, mathematical sets, and logistical support. The total cost to equip one student is ₦7,250.
The project has recorded significant impact since its inception, reaching over 2,000 pupils and students in the first four editions. The 5th Edition aims to build on this success, targeting 3,000+ beneficiaries across multiple communities.
The launch event took place on January 17 at Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, and brought together stakeholders, partners, and supporters.
The organisers expressed deep appreciation to individuals and organisations who have consistently supported the organisation’s mission, including Alhaji Abdulrazaq Abdulsalam Ejide, HRM, the King of Ipe Land, and several other notable individuals and organisations.
The project has also received strong backing from organisations such as SchoolTry Company, Item 7 Go Restaurant, 7UP Bottling Company, and Nigerian Society of Engineers, among others. Participating schools include Ejide International School, Socrates College, and Al-Halal International School.
New supporters for the 2026 project lineup include Engr. Rilwan Cook Amode, CEO, JCR Engineering Construction Limited, Hon. Adio Odunjo (Obbo-Ile), and CEO, O’George Autos Ltd, among others.
The organisation has also unveiled its five key projects for the first quarter, including distribution of learning materials, Bookworm Challenge, and Ramadan Foodbank for students.
The organisers are calling on Nigerians, corporate organisations, and development partners to support the ESSP and other projects, stating that once supported helps convert limitations into opportunities and ensures that no willing learner is left behind.
