The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a new pricing structure for its services, marking the first upward review in over a decade. The Commission says the revised charges reflect current economic realities and operational costs.
In a statement issued by the Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, NIMC explained that the changes are designed to maintain service quality while keeping rates fair and accessible to Nigerians. The updated pricing has taken immediate effect.
“All Front-End Partners (FEPs) are mandated to implement the new pricing without deviation. Any violation, including overcharging, will attract strict penalties such as license revocation,” the Commission stated.
NIMC also emphasized transparency, encouraging the public to report any cases of inflated charges through its inspectorate and enforcement unit via ieu@nimc.gov.ng or by calling 08155015388.
The Commission assured Nigerians that the revised pricing structure will soon be published on its official website — www.nimc.gov.ng — to ensure easy access and public accountability.
Director General/Chief Executive Officer of NIMC, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, thanked Nigerians and stakeholders for their continuous support, including President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and all harmonization partners.
