Ilorin, Kwara State – January 24, 2026 – The Kwara State Polytechnic Worldwide Alumni Association has appealed to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to reconsider and reinstate Dr. Engr. Abdul Jimoh as Rector of the Polytechnic.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary-Elect of the Alumni Association, Comrade Tajudeen Toheeb, and copy made available to Prime, he acknowledged the Governor’s transformative interventions in the education sector and expressed support for his leadership.
The appeal follows the Governor’s directive for Dr. Jimoh to step aside amid a student protest on January 21, 2026. The Alumni Association praised Dr. Jimoh’s leadership, citing significant advancements in infrastructure, staff welfare, and student management during his tenure.
The statement read: “We believe this action will restore stability and allow the continuity of the positive trajectory you have championed.” The Alumni Association reiterated its support for the Governor’s developmental efforts in Kwara State.
