FG Extends Paramilitary Recruitment Deadline by One Week

The Federal Government has extended the deadline for applications into various paramilitary services by one week, giving interested candidates more time to complete their registrations.

The extension affects ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, and Nigeria Immigration Service.

Originally set to close on Monday, August 4, 2025, the recruitment portal will now remain open until Monday, August 11, 2025.

This was made known in a statement released by the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (retd.).

According to the statement, the decision was taken to accommodate more applicants and ensure no qualified candidate is left out due to time constraints.

“This extension is geared towards providing additional opportunity for applicants willing to be enlisted into any of the paramilitary services as well as the board,” the statement read.

Applicants are reminded that the official portal for registration remains https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, and the entire recruitment process is free of charge.

The board also reaffirmed its commitment to a fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process.
