The Federal Government has renewed its commitment to promoting gender inclusivity among citizens in the country.
Vice President Kashim Shettima made the commitment on Tuesday, as part of activities to host the forthcoming gender inclusion conference themed “Breaking Down Barriers and Building Resilience for Sustainable Economic and Financial Inclusion for Women.”
The Vice President, who was represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Hadeja, explained that the event will take place at the State House Conference Center on Thursday and Friday this week.
Butressing the importance of women and the need to empower them for national development, the Vice President noted that, “The forthcoming gender inclusion conference tagged #sheisincluded, is scheduled to take place Thursday 30th and Friday 31st January, 2025,will provide a platform to address pressing challenges related to women’s economic empowerment and inclusion from a holistic perspective.
He maintained that the conference will showcase President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to advancing economic inclusion for women as well as achieve goal five of the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the Vice President, the transformative summit underscores the Nigerian government’s commitment to advancing economic inclusion for women and the underserved communities across the country.
