Women’s Empire Brings Relief to Tower of Refuge Motherless/Orphanage Babies Home

A humanitarian outreach organized by Women’s Empire brought smiles and relief to children at the Tower of Refuge Motherless/Orphanage Babies Home, located at 21, Wole Madariola, off Aguda, Lagos, during a visit on 27th December 2025.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Mercy Arinze, the founder of the Tower of Refuge Motherless/Orphanage Babies Home, expressed her happiness and deep appreciation for the gifts presented to the children. She described the children as wonderful, noting that although they exhibit different characters, it is the responsibility of mothers and caregivers to nurture, guide, and support them.

Mrs. Arinze thanked Women’s Empire for the generous donations, which included writing materials, provisions, toiletries, noodles, and other essential items. She added that God has been faithful in helping them care for the children and prayed that God would bless and prosper the founder of Women’s Empire, Olanrewaju Shifau, saying that the vision that inspired the initiative would go very far.

Sharing her personal journey, Mrs. Arinze revealed that starting the orphanage was not easy, as she faced disappointment from many people along the way. However, she said her trust in God saw her through the challenges and made her even more determined to continue the work.

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Arinze encouraged Women’s Empire and its founder to never relent in the good work, even during times when there is little or no support.

In her appreciation, the founder of Women’s Empire, Olanrewaju Shifau, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the owner and founder of the orphanage home, applauding Mrs. Mercy Arinze for her outstanding humanitarian service. She prayed that God would continue to strengthen her, grant her wisdom, and provide more resources to enable her do even greater work in caring for vulnerable children.

Women’s Empire extended special appreciation to Aishat Abdul Fatai for her selfless volunteering and dedication, which contributed meaningfully to the success of the visit. Women’s Empire also appreciated everyone who contributed through donations, reposts, and other forms of support, which made the visit to the Tower of Refuge Motherless/Orphanage Babies Home a success.

Women’s Empire reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service and community development, especially in supporting vulnerable children through compassion, generosity, and collective effort.
