Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of signing a fresh two-year contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, putting an end to speculation about his future.
The Portuguese star, whose current deal was due to expire this June, had hinted at a possible exit with a cryptic “the chapter is over” post after the final game of the season. But it now appears the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is staying put.
Since arriving in December 2022, Ronaldo has netted an impressive 99 goals in 111 appearances, clinching the league’s Golden Boot with 35 goals last season.
His extension comes as Al-Nassr navigate a managerial shake-up, having parted ways with coach Stefano Pioli after finishing third in the league, 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad.
