Bayern Munich Hijack Chelsea’s Move for Dortmund Star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens

Chelsea’s transfer plans have hit a potential stumbling block, as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have made a late push to sign Borussia Dortmund’s rising star, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

The 19-year-old winger, who lit up the Bundesliga last season with eight goals, was believed to be on the verge of sealing a seven-year deal with Chelsea. The Blues saw him as a cornerstone for their future attack under Enzo Maresca, especially with Mykhailo Mudryk facing a possible doping ban and Jadon Sancho no longer in their plans.

But fresh reports from German outlet Kicker reveal that Bayern Munich — after missing out on top targets Florian Wirtz and Nico Williams — have now set their sights on Bynoe-Gittens. Known for snapping up young talent from Bundesliga rivals, Bayern view the England U21 international as an ideal long-term wide option.

This move has cast serious doubt over Chelsea’s negotiations, especially with Bayern’s deep pockets and strong domestic pull. Though Chelsea have already signed Liam Delap for £30 million, they remain keen to bolster their wing options — and Bynoe-Gittens was top of that list.

Sources say the young winger is still interested in a Premier League move, but only if Chelsea meet Dortmund’s £60 million valuation. With Bayern now in the frame, the West London club may need to act fast or risk losing out on yet another marquee signing to the German champions.
