Two men lynched by mob in Katsina after being mistaken for criminals

Two men, Gaddafi Isah, 35, and Badamasi Isah, 30, were lynched by a mob on April 6, 2025, in Katsayal Village, Katsina State, due to mistaken identity.

The men had been practicing driving in their father’s vehicle when residents from a nearby village suspected them of livestock theft.

The mob attacked and beat them severely, causing fatal injuries before security forces arrived.

The victims were rescued and rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sandamu, where they were later confirmed dead by medical personnel.

The vehicle they were using was also vandalized during the assault.

Police authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident and are working to identify and arrest those responsible for the mob action.
