The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has denied claims that he owes businesswoman Tracynither Ohiri N200 million for promotional materials supplied during his 2014 governorship campaign.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday during his inspection of the Independence Bridge in Lagos, Umahi dismissed the allegation as false, questioning how campaign materials could cost twice his entire election budget at the time.
He challenged Ohiri to provide contract documents, bank statements, or proof of withdrawal supporting her claims, alleging that she was being sponsored to tarnish his image.
On the separate accusation of sexual harassment, Umahi also denied any wrongdoing, warning against the rising trend of false allegations. He vowed to take legal action, stating that his lawyers had been instructed to seek damages.
