Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a brief sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian Ganiyu Morufu, aka Ijoba Lande, after initially denying the allegation.
During a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, Baba Tee revealed that the encounter happened under the influence of alcohol during a “Truth or Dare” game with Dara and actress Marygold. This confession contradicts his earlier stance, where he challenged Lande to provide evidence or face legal consequences for defamation.
Lande had previously accused his wife of infidelity, claiming she had affairs with at least 21 men in the entertainment industry, including Baba Tee. The actor had initially dismissed the claims, stating he only met Dara once and was unaware she was Lande’s wife.
However, in a surprising turn, Baba Tee admitted to the encounter, explaining that Marygold introduced Dara as a content creator and not as Lande’s wife. He alleged that he was set up by both women.
“When Marygold and Dara came to my house, I didn’t know she was Lande’s wife. We played ‘Truth or Dare,’ and things escalated. I won’t deny it—I had a short sexual encounter with her. But I only found out later who she really was,” Baba Tee said.
Following his admission, Esabod advised him to apologize to Lande for initially denying the affair. Baba Tee later issued a public apology via his official Facebook page, writing:
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
Meanwhile, Marygold, Lande’s former manager, has been accused of recording the encounter and playing a role in the unfolding controversy.
