Kylian Mbappé has officially withdrawn his complaint of moral harassment against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), his former club, just days before a high-stakes encounter between his new team, Real Madrid, and PSG in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The announcement was confirmed on Monday, July 7, by Mbappé’s lawyer, Pierre-Olivier Sur, in a statement to Agence France-Presse (AFP). “We are withdrawing our civil action,” Sur stated, signaling an end to the legal complaint that had prompted a formal investigation by the Paris prosecutor’s office last month.
The complaint stemmed from Mbappé’s fallout with PSG at the beginning of the 2023–24 season. The French striker accused the club of isolating him and forcing him to train separately with players PSG had put on the transfer list, following his decision not to extend his contract.
His exclusion from the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and absence from PSG’s Ligue 1 opener in 2023 sparked public criticism and led the French players’ union to file its own complaint over similar alleged treatment of players.
