Galatasaray is keen to keep Victor Osimhen beyond his loan spell but can not afford his €75 million release clause. The Nigerian striker, currently on loan in Istanbul, has impressed with 29 goals in 33 appearances this season.
Although Osimhen feels comfortable at Galatasaray, extending his stay remains difficult unless Napoli agrees to a special arrangement.
Napoli, who failed to sell Osimhen last summer, is determined to cash in on the forward next season. Juventus has shown interest, but Napoli is reluctant to sell to a domestic rival.
This leaves the door slightly open for Galatasaray, who hopes to negotiate a surprise deal with Napoli.
However, given the Turkish club’s financial constraints and Napoli’s desire for a high-value transfer, the likelihood of a continued stay in Turkey appears slim.
Napoli still believe clubs exist that can meet their asking price, making Galatasaray’s hopes uncertain.
