Veteran music producer and Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy, has reflected on the personal sacrifices that came with his rise in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Speaking on the Echo Podcast, the 42-year-old shared that although he has no regrets about his career, one significant aspect he may have unknowingly traded off is marriage.
When asked what he had to give up in pursuit of success, Don Jazzy admitted he never thought he’d still be unmarried in his 40s.
“I never thought I’d be in my 40s and not married. Maybe that’s the one I lost along the way. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, I’m totally fine,” he said.
The hitmaker, known for shaping the careers of stars like Tiwa Savage, Rema, and Ayra Starr, noted that his life would still revolve around music even if he weren’t running a record label.
Despite the sacrifices, Don Jazzy emphasized that he remains deeply fulfilled with all he has accomplished in the music industry.
