Thunder strike kills eight cows in Ondo community

Lightning struck and killed eight cows in Ori-Ohin community, Ifon, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, during a heavy downpour on Sunday evening.

The incident has caused panic among the local residents.

The spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident to the television station.

While expressinv dismay at the unfortunate incident, Ayanlade noted that it was a natural occurrence.

The PPRO said that police authorities have reached out to the community heads to ensure the incident does not lead to controversy.

This is not the first time such incident has happened in Ondo State.
