Super Falcons skipper Rasheedat Ajibade has completed a move to Paris Saint-Germain Féminine, signing a two-year deal after leaving Atlético de Madrid at the end of last season.
PSG confirmed the signing on Tuesday, announcing that the 25-year-old Nigerian forward has committed to the French giants until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend.
“Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Nigerian striker Rasheedat Busayo Ajibade, who has joined the club on a deal that runs until 30th June 2027,” the club stated.
Ajibade, who captained Nigeria at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, expressed her excitement at the move.
“I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe. This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere,” she said.
The forward arrives from Atlético de Madrid, where she spent three seasons after a two-year stint in Norway with Avaldsnes IL. Last season, she made 25 appearances for Atleti, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.
Ajibade’s arrival continues PSG’s push to strengthen their attack as they aim to challenge Lyon and Barcelona for European dominance.
