Protest: Lagos APC Members Demand Immediate Sack of State Chairman

By Toheeb Omotayo

Dozens of Lagos APC members on Monday stormed the State House of Assembly in Alausa, demanding the immediate removal of the party’s state chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi.

The protesters, drawn from the 57 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), accused Ojelabi of poor leadership and claimed he has lost the confidence of party members across the state.

They carried placards with clear messages: “Ojelabi Must Go”, “Enough of Imposition”, and “We Demand Fresh Leadership”.

According to the demonstrators, Ojelabi’s continued leadership threatens the APC’s unity and electoral chances ahead of future polls.

A heavy police presence was deployed to the Assembly complex to prevent any disruption, but the protest remained peaceful.

No comments have been made by the state APC leadership or the Lagos Assembly as of the time of this report.
