Lawan reacts to fire incidents in Yobe

Former Senate President Ibrahim Ahmed Lawan has expressed his concerns for the victims of the fire outbreaks that have affected several communities across Machina, Nguru, and Yusufari Local Government Areas of Yobe State.

In a statement signed on Monday, Lawan described the incidents as unfortunate, noting that they have caused significant loss and hardship.

“My thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been impacted during this difficult time.
“As your representative in the National Assembly, I am committed to ensuring that the affected communities receive the necessary assistance to recover,” he said.

Lawan donated a total sum of N27 million and 300 bags of rice for distribution to victims in the affected communities. The donation aims to complement efforts by the Yobe State government in providing immediate relief to affected families and helping them recover from the devastating impact of the fire outbreaks.

He assured that he will continue to work tirelessly to support communities and advocate for measures that will prevent such incidents in the future.
