Twitter co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey has unveiled Sun Day, a new wellness app designed to help users monitor their sun exposure and track vitamin D intake.
The app calculates sun exposure levels based on a user’s location, skin type, and clothing, offering real-time updates using the local UV index. By manually logging sunlight exposure, users can estimate how much vitamin D their body is producing each day.
Sun Day also delivers helpful details such as sunrise and sunset times, cloud cover, and personalized burn risk limits tailored to the current UV index, making it both a health and safety tool for those conscious of their time outdoors.
The release comes shortly after Dorsey introduced Bitchat, a messaging app that works without internet access, part of a growing portfolio of decentralized and wellness-oriented tech products the entrepreneur is championing.
