Ibrahim Chatta claims Davido’s influence extends far beyond his father’s reach

Seasoned actor Ibrahim Chatta has stated that Davido’s influence has eclipsed that of his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.

Chatta’s comments were part of a larger discussion about respect, age, and achievement.

He emphasised that people’s accomplishments and impact, rather than their age, determine their level of respect.

Using historical figures like Alexander the Great as examples, Chatta argued that exceptional achievements can earn individuals a level of respect and recognition that transcends their age.

He applied this same logic to Davido, stating that the singer’s remarkable success and widespread influence have earned him a status akin to that of an “elder,” despite his relatively young age.

“The day I sat down with Davido, I was just looking at all the people surrounding him, people who were ready to be killed before you could get to him. He’s an elder. Okay, Davido’s dad is a billionaire that has been doing big things in his family, their family is one of wealth, but doesn’t Davido shine differently among the others? Davido’s dad is rich but not like Davido. If Davido’s dad is passing by you might not even recognise him if he comes to Oyo. Davido can’t walk past in Akesan, people would tear him apart, stampede will happen.”
