Ekiti Workers to Report to Offices on Monday as Remote Work Policy Ends

The Ekiti State Government has ended its work-from-home policy for some categories of civil servants in the state since last year, directing the affected workers to resume full duties on Monday, January 13.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji had in September 2024 initiated the policy and approved it to cushion the effects of economic hardship and fuel subsidy removal on the state workforce.

The officers on level 01- 07 under the new arrangement, had since been working from home three days a week.

Also, officers on level 08-12 were working from home two days in a week, while officers on level 13-17 work from home once in a week.

The arrangement, which commenced on Monday, September 9, 2024, however, excludes essential workers like teachers, core health workers in the hospitals and security personnel among others.
