Efe Ajagba Breaks into The Ring’s Top 10 Heavyweight Rankings

Nigerian boxer Efe Ajagba has entered The Ring magazine’s top 10 heavyweight rankings, taking the No. 10 spot in the latest update released on Thursday.

The 30-year-old now holds a professional record of 20 wins, one loss and one draw, with 14 of his victories coming by knockout. His inclusion makes him the only Nigerian currently ranked among the world’s elite heavyweights.

The heavyweight division is led by Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the champion status, followed by Britain’s Tyson Fury as the No. 1 contender. New Zealand’s Joseph Parker and Germany’s Agit Kabayel occupy the second and third positions, respectively.

Ajagba’s rise reflects a series of strong performances that have strengthened his reputation as one of Africa’s leading heavyweight contenders.

Founded in 1922, The Ring magazine is widely regarded as the “Bible of Boxing,” with rankings determined independently based on fight outcomes, performances and expert evaluations.
