Former President Muhammadu Buhari urged APC governors to prioritize the needs and welfare of the people in their leadership.
Speaking at a meeting in Kaduna, he described leadership as both a challenge and an opportunity, encouraging the governors to balance their approach for national progress.
In his remarks conveyed by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed satisfaction with the performance of the APC governors and encouraged them to remain committed to Nigeria’s development. He stressed the importance of integrity in public service, noting that he left office in 2023 with the same personal assets he had when he became president in 2015.
He also thanked President Bola Tinubu’s administration for renovating his Kaduna home, noting that while the exterior remains familiar, significant improvements had been made inside.
The meeting, led by Imo State Governor
Hope Uzodinma, he praised Buhari for his lasting influence on the APC, highlighting his governance achievements, including infrastructure, social welfare, and security improvements, while also acknowledging his ongoing support for President Tinubu’s administration.
The governors acknowledged Buhari’s pivotal role in the formation of the APC and expressed their respect and appreciation for his leadership and legacy.
