Arsenal go top with 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest

Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League table with a dominant 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in Saturday’s early kick-off.

Eager to respond after a narrow 1-0 loss to Liverpool before the international break, the Gunners came out strong at the Emirates Stadium.

They controlled the opening stages, and Martin Zubimendi gave them the lead with a well-taken volley just before half-time.

Right after the restart, Eberechi Eze set up Viktor Gyokeres, who calmly slotted home to double Arsenal’s lead and put the game beyond Forest’s reach.

Martin Zubimendi then sealed the victory with his second goal of the day, heading in from a Leandro Trossard cross, as Mikel Arteta’s side cruised to another emphatic home win.

The victory lifts Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table with nine points from four matches.

However, Liverpool could reclaim the top spot when they visit Burnley on Sunday.
