Liverpool manager Arne Slot has received a double injury boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.
The Reds will have forwards Hugo Ekitike and Federico Chiesa back in contention, after injury concerns during the week. Ekitike limped off in their 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray, while Chiesa was left out of the squad entirely.
Speaking to the press on Friday morning, Slot confirmed both players are expected to return to training.
However, goalkeeper Alisson Becker is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Slot said: “Ekitike and Chiesa will be back in training today… Alisson will be out for some time.
“I’d be surprised if Alisson’s ready for first game after international break.”
