Ademola Lookman Agrees €40m Move to Inter Milan from Atalanta

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman is on the verge of a high-profile transfer to Inter Milan, with reports indicating the player has agreed to personal terms in a €40 million deal.

According to top Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter have made significant progress in talks and are set to present a formal €40 million offer to Atalanta, where Lookman remains under contract until 2027.

“Inter are serious about Lookman. Agreement with the player, €40m ready for Atalanta,” Di Marzio confirmed.

Although Atalanta value the Nigerian forward at €50 million, Inter are standing firm on their offer and do not intend to go any higher. The Serie A giants are banking on a reported verbal agreement made by Atalanta to let Lookman leave this summer.

Lookman is coming off a stellar 2024–25 season, scoring 15 goals and playing a crucial role in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph. His performances have elevated his market value and attracted interest across Europe, but Inter appear to be in pole position.

With personal terms already settled and Lookman giving his approval to the move, Inter are keen to finalize the deal swiftly. However, should negotiations stall, the Champions League finalists may pivot to Nico González as an alternative.

Lookman previously played for Leicester City and RB Leipzig before his resurgence at Atalanta, and a move to Inter could mark another major step in the career of the 26-year-old Nigerian international.
